New Jersey Vacations Offer Fun, Excitement and Bargains

There is a lot to choose from in the category of New Jersey Vacations, so even if most people's favorite is the beach, there really is a lot more to New Jersey than just the Jersey Shore.

New Jersey has so many unique and exciting destinations for a family vacation that you can choose between dozens of locations and activities, or better still, you can pick a number of different fun things to do in different areas. New Jersey is easy to drive around in, with great highways and well marked roads, and since the drive from High Point State Park, the northernmost spot, to Cape May, the southernmost, is only four hours, planning your trip right can mean driving for an hour or two, spending a day or two in an interesting area then picking up and moving on to another exciting vacation spot.

As nice as it would be to spend two or three weeks lolling on the beach rubbing sun tan lotion on each other, the reality is that most people only get two weeks vacation. In today's fast paced world, we want to see and do as much as we can in a short time. A New Jersey vacation can be perfect for that.

For instance, you can start out with a few days in the Cape May/ Wildwood area enjoying the sun, the sand, the beautiful Victorian homes and the rides and go on a whaling adventure. Add a day, and you can throw a little nature vacation in with a visit to Brigantine Wildlife Refuge.

Then head up the coast to the Asbury/ Avon/ Belmar area. Besides more great beaches and the Victorian architecture of Ocean Grove, you can play at Great Adventure, shop at the Jersey Shore Outlets during the day and in the evening see if Bruce is making an appearance at any of the Asbury clubs.

Next stop, Atlantic Highlands and Sandy Hook. Boating, great dining, fabulous surfing and fishing and, if you want, a quick peek at Gunnison clothing optional beach. To top it off, you can hop on the ferry and take in Manhattan for the day, evening or both.

Great beaches for sunning, swimming or surfing, beautiful historic towns to stroll through, nature walks and whaling boats, rides and amusement parks, world class shopping and the Big Apple a boat ride away. Now that's what a New Jersey Vacation is all about!
