New Jersey Shopping at its Finest at Pier One in Long Branch
New Jersey Shopping is practically a religion for some people, and if you want to experience it at its best, be sure to visit Pier One in Long Branch. Besides being right next to a great beach in a great town, Pier one is loaded with fabulous stores and restaurants that make your day away from the beach (well, not that far away, since you can see the Ocean from practically every point in Pier One Village), almost as much fun as being on it. Don't expect big department stores or the top name outlets, but do expect to find beautiful, unique shops that carry items you won't see on everybody else. Stores such as the Aloha Grove surf shop, Nirvana (most incredibly beautiful jeans you have ever seen), Jenna and Molly, The Bee (as they say, "elegant to edgy") feature fashions for the young and hip. They can be pricey, but if you are into New Jersey shopping, you'll know how to ferret out the great bargains and sales. The best thing about Pier One Village is that there are so many great restaurants and bars to visit and restoke the fires during your shopping day. McLoone's Pier House, It's Greek to Me, Sirena, and so many other great spots to wine and dine are right there. Pier One Village is just as hot at night as during the shopping day, and if you want a seriously fun evening, be sure to visit the fabulous Avenue Restaurant. With its French inspired cuisine and decor, it is fast becoming one of the hottest spots on the Jersey Shore. You can have this great New Jersey shopping experience while you are staying at almost any of the Jersey Shore beaches, but Long Branch, Sandy Hook, and Atlantic Highlands are the closest ones. Like most places on the Jersey Shore, Pier One Village in Long Branch is easy to get to, as long as you know where the Garden State Parkway is: GSP to Exit 105, to Route 36 east; 6 and a half miles to Ocean Blvd, turn right and one half mile on your left is Pier Village.
