Great New Jersey Attractions at the Beach

If you are looking for New Jersey attractions away from the beach (why would you?), there is no end to the possibilities.

Of course, one of the biggest attractions on the Jersey Shore, and it is right on the beach, are the Casinos in Atlantic City, so if you want to be near the beach, but crave the excitment of casinos and shows, that may be all the attraction you need.

Many people like to combine soaking up the sun with fun and adventure, and New Jersey attractions offer plenty of that. When you take your New Jersey Beach vacation, you don't have to worry about anybody in the crowd complaining that they have nothing to do.

The New Jersey Beach area abounds with amusement parks and rides, some right in your beach town, some just a short ride away. One of the biggest and most well known amusement parks is

Six Flags Great Adventure. Great rides for every age, marine shows, safari park and entertainment at night will make you want to leave your favorite New Jersey beach at least for one day.

The New Jersey Beach area is justly famous for fabulous fish, but wouldn't it be great if you catch your own? Bring your rod and reel down to the beach for some great surf fishing, or hop on a chartered fishing boat out of one of the nearby ports.

Even more fun would be to become the captain of your own vessel. You can rent a boat, from a small outboard fishing boat, to a full sized sailboat and see your New Jersey beach from a new angle!

For the best of two worlds, many people are captivated by the idea that you can hop on a train or on the parkway and visit the big apple, New York City, from your New Jersey beach. From the northern beaches, it's an easy day trip, but you might want to splurge and spend a night in the city that never sleeps.

But for some, no matter where they go on vacation, if shopping is not a part of it, they are not on vacation! But, never fear, there is great shopping on the Jersey Shore, so shopaholics don't have to do without their favorite pastime (or is it addiction?).

Whatever adventure takes you away from your New Jersey beach, when you return, you can recover with a nice nap on the soft sand while you listen to the music of the ocean.
